Resolved Question: How much money do I need to save to move?

A friend and I are planning on moving to Fort Collins, Colorado from Kansas City in about 6 to 8 months. Approximately how much money should we each have saved before making the move? Things we would need to be prepared to pay for before we move: Moving Truck, Gas, $ for Food for about month, Rent for a few months, Deposit on Aptm...
